Back to chemo then, Seb joins me today and within what feels like a flash we are done, well so we think so. Until Kate comes to check how my head is after my little football collision at the weekend (thanks Seema, hope your knee feels better 😉 ). My head was alright enough to step up and take my penalty!!
Little explanation of the fact i still have a headache tho and now have earache in my right ear since this clash, i think its just concussion and it will go away when its ready. I rarely visited the doctors prior to this, but no doubt if i did it was probably due to concussion. Kate goes off has a little chat with Dr awesome who has a little chat with Dr Sorry and he comes to check my head.
Dr Sorry starts can you please explain whats happened, i start the story, get to i have had a headache for 48hours and thats it he profusely apologises and off to A&E we go. He explains that bearing everything in mind i will probably need a head CT, quick thinking i wonder if they will just do my chest and pelvis CT at the same time that is due the following Thursday anyway.
After a bit of waiting, we see a very thorough Dr i have never done these tests for concussion before, she confirms head CT is needed. After some sort of heated discussion on the phone about the fact CT stating i have already had a scan and the Dr confirming yes but not of her head. We are off, off to CT department back to where we just came from.
Kindly, the lady in CT agrees that if she can get a cannula in she will do both scans at the same time to save me coming back, minimising the amount of times i have to come back. So woo woo Cannula in and both scans take place.
Back to A&E to wait for the verdict, Dr comes back woo woo good news…. I have a BRAIN (believe it or not) and fully working at that 🙂
So after what turned out to be along day back home to my bed i go. Thanks Seb for the great company 🙂
