Life is best when shared with family and friends. As Christmas draws to a close, the turkey is finally finished and the tree nearly taken down it is a time to reflect. Christmas isn’t about the presents under the tree or the food you eat ( although there must be pigs in blankets), it’s about the people you spend that time with and the love that is shared.
Well December was a month that reminded me nearly daily of that love from family or friends. Well actually there isn’t always much difference, DNA doesn’t make a family it’s love, support, encouragement and guidance. I’m lucky that my friends have become my family and some of my family have become my friends.
December, well late November, started with a visit to Dubai for Mum and Daughter time! Spending time chatting, laughing, crying and loving!!
This was then followed by an awesome trip to Canada where we were welcomed as if we were one of the family and that will be something I will always treasure – the feeling of love from and between you all! #THANKYOU!!
The lead up to Christmas was filled with days with friends and family or FRAMILY (friends that became family). Meals out, drinks, nandos, Secret Santa, London Town, escape rooms, church, house moving, markets, shopping, pizza, cake, golf, drinks, carols, curry… but most importantly surrounded by the people I love and that love each other!!
It’s never the big things, it’s always the little moments wether at home or within those big trips, it’s the warm welcomes, the thoughtful gifts, the amount of laughs, the time spent chatting, warm hugs, historical banter and the knowledge that those people will always be there!! 🙂
